Welcome to the Game!
Hello players! Welcome to the Game and its very first month. This is an exciting time, and a time that begs for a tiny bit of patience as we learn the ropes of how we want to run things around here. All of your feedback and contributions to how we should run this game has been extremely valuable to our understanding of what our player base would be happiest with. So thank you to everyone who has spoken up!
Our first Game Event will be posted shortly! With that will be a Game Event Plotting Post which will be linked on the Game Event itself, as well as posted on this community.
As always, if anyone has any questions please let us know in a comment below or send us a PM!
Applications and Reserves Official Times & Dates
We have finally decided on our official application and reserve dates and times. Thank you to everyone who has been patient with us while we make our decision!
Reserves open on the 1st of every month at midnight EST (the moment the calendar turns the 1st). They close on the 5th of every month at midnight EST (the moment the calendar turns to the 5th). This gives everyone 4 days to reserve their character before they close.
Applications open on the 5th of every month at midnight EST (the moment the calendar turns to the 5th). They close on the 10th of every month at midnight EST (the moment the calendar turns to the 10th). This gives everyone 5 days to reserve their character before they close.
If you are still confused by when applications or reserves open/close, please let us know in a comment below!
On Content Warning
It has been brought to our attention on our feedback page that some players might be concerned with the content warning expectations of the game, so we are here to clarify and assure you.
We completely understand that people cannot remember everything. We do not expect you to. We're not even perfect in regards to this by any means. We created a spreadsheet for the game primarily for our own use as the mod team as we do post a lot of pictures to set the theme for the game, and even we don't know everything that might upset people, hence the question on the application. We decided that providing that list for players would just serve as a good reference in general so players could have an idea of what they might need to look out for.
The only time a player will get punished for anything pertaining to content warnings will only be under the severe circumstances of something like this: Player A has told Player B that Severe Subject Matter bothers them and that they need to tag it when threading with them. Player B has continuously forgotten/neglected to tag the Severe Subject Matter despite Player A's frequent requests. Player A could just forgo tagging Player B, of course, but they are also allowed to contact the mods if they feel like Player B's neglect of content warnings is worth discussing.
At that point the mod team will discuss with Player B about the content warnings, and the player will receive a warning. If the problem continues, they will receive a strike. If the problem persists, we will investigate the situation further and consider what move we should make next that would be most appropriate for the situation.
Obviously every case of player complaint in general will be read and gauged on a case-by-case basis. We will also respond swiftly as we can to all complaints given to the mod team.
All in all, we trust you as players to know what you're comfortable with. We also implore players to use broad content warnings at the beginnings of threads as we find that is usually a great way to cover your basics without having to worry about tagging every single tag that might contain something graphic in it.
We are sorry for any miscommunication or misunderstandings about our expectations on content warnings! Please let us know if you have further concerns or questions regarding this issue and we will continue to clarify as much as possible in this game.
We also do have a feedback/criticism page which is very useful for any need for clarification if people would like to use that. Thank you!
